Youth, marginalization and violence

By Cristian Bergmann

One of the great scourges of drug addiction is XXI century, by direct and indirect effects it has on society. Crescendo of violence in the crimes is just a sample of its destructive power. Currently we have to third (or more) complete generations of social exclusion, economic, health, education, all of which leads to fuel a vicious circle of illegality that needs firm political decision to stop, or at least cushion the wild ride.
Without reintegration policies (not just labor), without specifying the improvement of the environment in which they live, without significantly improving the user fees and serious food problems will be very complicated to overcome this situation of marginalization and insecurity in some areas is desperate. Given this bleak picture that some unlucky to live, is often an easy way out of drug addiction and crime.
cyclical policies such as increased police presence (with real citizen control) must be accompanied by measures to improve these situations prior to the crime, but we will be running behind the problem as we like to do the Argentines and any attempt will be a drop at sea.
would therefore be appropriate to address this problem from a comprehensive, clearly measures defined short, medium and long term, not to mention three main guiding principles: merciless fight against drug trafficking, addiction recovery and prevention policies in a framework of citizen participation that enrich the discussions. It's time to work, future generations will demand it.
